No one understands a writer better than another writer
Yes! I'm a writer too! I've experienced both traditional publishing (Penguin Random House) and self-publishing. Here you can see how they turned out, and if you're interested, give them a chance!
In my books, I'm also in charge of the interior illustrations and covers, so I know that fear that an image won't accurately reflect what the text is trying to convey.
Because I know what it's like to be on the other side, I've worked on the stories of over a hundred authors, giving a face to their novels, their characters, and their imaginations.
I'm Kalisdice,
a human artist and writer
In a world where it's hard to tell if what you're looking at is an AI-generated product, my process is transparent to ensure its authenticity. You'll have access to sketches and progress updates, and finally, a video of the entire process (which is always great for book promotion!).
I love sharing step-by-step instructions, insights, and advice with other authors and illustrators to inspire and support them.
If you'd like to get to know me and my work better, and if you'd like, allow me to share my own journey to complement yours.

The artist's way is not easy,
and that's why I feel so proud of every author who trusts me to bring
their story to life with light and color.
After studying industrial design engineering, I realized that my passion remained art and literature.
Since 2020, my growing online presence allowed me to land my first clients illustrating book characters and novel covers. More than one hundred authors have graced their covers, pre-orders, and books with my style.
And I couldn't feel more fortunate.
In 2024, I published my first illustrated novel with Penguin Random House. In 2025, I self-published a novelette, raising over €16,000 through a crowdfunding campaign. In 2026, a new illustrated novel will be released by another publisher.
Combining writing and illustration take books to a whole artistic level, and that's what I strive to offer the authors who collaborate with me.

A special edition isn't just about painted edges
Although I design them too! And I love them!
A book collecting trend is spreading within the reading community, and expectations are constantly rising.
-
Books aren't just written stories; they're reading experiences.
-
Pre-orders help estimate the number of books to be printed, and to encourage purchases, exclusive gifts are offered, such as prints or bookmarks.
-
Self-published books are high quality, and through crowdfunding, freebies can be unlocked each time the funding goal is reached.
All of this is what I applied to When The Nights Fell, a full-color novelette that came with many gifts during the crowdfunding campaign.
And I still have many of them left over, which I continue to add as a thank you for every purchase in my online store.
You'll find resources like brushes and ebooks there!
I want to show you how I did it
I'm not the one who will teach you,
but I will share what I've done, how I've done it,
and also what hasn't worked.
It might inspire you.
And it might help you in your own process.
(And yes, it's totally free)
